
Commissioner Casey Gatz
USDA Forest Service Acting Forest Supervisor for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
Casey has served on the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area since 2017, where he led the 2020 Management Plan revision for the USDA Forest Service, served as the Resources, Planning, and Lands Staff Officer, and has stepped into the Acting Deputy Forest Supervisor role several times over the last few years. Last year, he also served as the Assistant Director in Fire, Fuels, and Aviation across Oregon and Washington, leading the Wildfire Crisis Strategy. With over 15 years leading large-scale collaborative projects and supporting every program area along the way, Casey brings a varied depth of experience to the role. Casey is excited to have his commitment to relationships, service, and community resilience guide him as the Acting Forest Supervisor and a member of the Gorge Commission.
