Public Comment
The Gorge Commissioners and staff would love to hear your ideas and feedback. There are two main categories of public comment:
Comment on Topics of Interest Not on Meeting Agenda: To provide a general comment on a Columbia River Gorge Commission topic that is of interest to you, you may e-mail, write, or call staff and/or individual commissioners at any time. Your comments will be shared by email to the Gorge Commissioners and the Executive Director. You may also address the Commission at its public meetings during the public comment period. The period to hear public comment related to items not on the agenda is typically scheduled at the beginning of the meeting.
Comment on Meeting Agenda Topics: If you would like to provide public comment on specific agenda items for an upcoming meeting you have a few options.
- You may address the Commission at the public meeting following any agenda item that is starred for public comment.
- You may e-mail, write, or call staff with your comment no later than 12:00 p.m. the day before the scheduled meeting. Please indicate in your comment which agenda item your comment is related to. Written comments related to agenda items will be provided to Commissioners before the meeting and posted on the website with the meeting materials.
- You may provide written testimony at the meeting. These written comments will be included with the meeting materials and posted on the website.
Please review the Public Protocol document that is posted with each agenda on the meetings page for more information about providing public comment during a Gorge Commission meeting. If you have any questions, please contact us.
